Normally SPIS is now (since SPIS version 4.0 and on Intel platform) fully supported on Mac OSX. Actually, SPIS-UI is developped on Mac OSX. And normally, there is normally not need of extra settings. In case of difficulties send us the stack trace and/or the error message.
