Today I tried a new model and Kernel doesnt hang anymore. However the launcher stops right after starting, which is I think again caused by mesh sizes. So if anybody can help me with SPT100 mesh sizes, I would really appreciate, I need mesh sizes for these points:

I defined the passive surfaces of thruster as another sc surface group, material CFRP and different electrical node(4). I grounded this node to SC(V 4 0 0 ).

Please give me an idea if you have worked on something similar.

I also tried with assigning the middle circular surface as another surface group with the same properties as SC Body. On the figure it is a part of SC body. I also dont know how I should do it.

Very hard to tell in the general case. Could be mesh size or mesh shape indeed. We have seen problems like this when you have triangles that are very stretched out or when you have very small gaps between CAD objects. Try to mesh with different resolutions and see if it changes the result. Also read what is displayed in the log console (or in the debug.log file that is at the root of SPIS) to know when the kernel hangs.

What version of SPIS do you use?

But when I implement it to a Satellite body, it always give error. Problem is not with the geometry. If you think SPT100 as a disk. outer and inner part of it are the same satellite body. So please let me know why there is always error, could it be about mesh sizes or something else?

I tried with much bigger mesh sizes, and I saw that problem that solver was getting stuck, was caused by small mesh sizes. Thank you anyway. Does anybody know what kind of mesh sizes SPIS likes to work with? Because I have another project and I do not know how to arrange the sizes. Thank you!

And I tried without satellite body, just with the SPT100 and and external boundary. with the mesh sizes 0.00725 for outer and inner circle points and 0.015 for the middle point. I launch the simulation and everytime it gets stuck after a progress of 3%. I dont know why :S
