On a Suse 8.0 you must a have gcc 3.2 compiler available. But current version of tegen does not successfully compile with this version. You have to download gcc 2.95 http://gcc.gnu.org/gcc-2.95/ or even better, icc (intel c compiler) http://www.intel.com/software/products/global/eval.htm (available for free for evaluation and/or non commercial use on linux)
